1. Tell me about when you had to change the product strategy and how you aligned other teams on the new strategy. 2. What is your approach to you motivate others your team and adjacent teams? 3.What are the top 3 Product Management qualities that you value?
Not all PMs need to work with design but you'll have some questions anyway.
1. How soon should UI/UX be brought on for input into a new feature? 2. How did you interact with customers at your current or previous job?? 3.What methods have you used to do customer research?
It's all about data now, and companies want to know you know how to use it.
1. Tell me about a time when you had to make a decision but didn’t have enough data. 2. How would you set up an A/B test? 3.What metrics would you use to measure product success (given a specific product)?
Your main partner will be engineering, they want to make sure you wont just boss them around.
1. What is your ideal setup for roles and responsibilities between Product Managers and Engineering Managers? 2. How do you keep engineering in the loop with constantly changing priorities? 3.What are the top 3 Product Management qualities that you value?
These are not PM specific but your typical behavioral questions geared towards PMs.
1. Why did you apply to precisely this company and this position? 2. How does this position fit in your career path? 3. What is one thing you need to improve for your last review cycle? How did you improve it?
